Folsom 2011 recap

September is that time of the year again, Folsom in San Francisco.  I headed up on Virgin America (I can’t speak highly enough about that awesome airline) for a weekend of debauchery, along with my good bud, Preston Steel.  If you read my post from last year’s Folsom, you’ll see that it was then that I met quite a few of my porn friends (Matthew Rush, Tom Wolfe, Tristan Jaxx, etc.), so it was fun for all of us to re-unite a year later and spend time together as friends, as well as welcome several new friends.  We all stayed in the same hotel so that made it easy to maximize our time together.

We started our weekend off with the Naked Sword party at the 1015 Folsom Nightclub.  It wasn’t terribly crowded so it was a nice start to the weekend to just chill and hang with everyone.  We caught up with lots of porn peers and just had a few drinks and chilled out.

Saturday morning we got up and made plans for all of us to meet at Sears Restaurant (a tradition we started last year) in Union Square.  I think there were about nine of us in our group and we had a great time catching up with each other and reminiscing about the past year and where we were compared to one year prior.  As I’ve said before, it really is the friends, relationships and social aspects of porn that are my favorite so it was cool to see how well all of us had kept in touch over the year and how often we had managed to see each other as well.

After breakfast, most of went on a tour of Alcatraz, something Tom suggested.  I was excited to join as I had never been before, despite the dozens of times I’ve been to San Francisco.  We did an audio walking tour of the inside of the prison facility and had our usual goofball moments, as you’ll see in the pics below.  There are quite a few fascinating stories (did you know that the island was once home to dozens of families when the prison was in use?) about the facility on the tour and the grounds are pretty cool.  I definitely recommend a visit there if you’ve never been.

After the tour, we took a quick trip to Mr. S Leather (which was, of course, packed) and mingled a bit with friends and fans while a few of us got last-minute essentials.  Then we took a bit of a breather before suiting up in fetish outfit #1 of the weekend (the tight jeans, and latex halter, armband and gauntlets in the pics below) for the Raging Stallion/Falcon party, which was a really good time.  I love events like that, where we get to reconnect with other industry people and fans alike.  I got to meet lots of my most supportive fans (mostly the Ladies of Gay Porn, or LOGP), some for the first time and some who I’ve met at other events.  I had a nice chat with the director of my first film, Erik Rhodes, and my first co-star, Paul Wagner.  I would have liked to have stayed longer but Drake Jaden and I were scheduled to perform at the Magnitude party and we had to report by 10pm so we headed to that venue.

As soon as we got inside, we made our way backstage to get prepared.  I wore a neoprene jock, mini harness & gauntlets and leather boots (outfit #2 of the weekend).  Drake wore a zip front pair of briefs and a leather harness and boots.  This was my first time performing live sex and I was definitely excited about it.  I was glad it was with Drake because he’s such a pro at live shows and I’m already so comfortable with him.  At about midnight, he strapped a collar and leash on me and led me through the crowd to the “red stage” in one of the side rooms.  We were the first performers of the night and I must say I think we surprised the crowd with the intensity of our performance so early on in the night.  After leading me on stage with the leash, he forced my mouth open with a spyder gag  and proceeded to dominate my mouth with his ample cock.  The finale was a large cum shot on my face and in my mouth, something not seen often, especially so early on in the night.  I really enjoyed the experience of having a large crowd watching us.  It was definitely like fuel for our sexual energy.  He led me off the stage on the leash with me on all fours.  Unfortunately, I haven’t seen any pics or video of our performance.  I think because we were first up a lot of our fans missed it, which is too bad because I know several of them came to the event just to see us perform.  If you’re reading this and happen to have footage, please post a comment.  I’ll put it up here if I get anything.  Once our performance was done, we were free to enjoy the event for the rest of the night.  We walked around the club and danced a bit but we actually had most of our fun backstage with the other performers.  There was a cool vibe back there and an open bar, as well as a door overlooking the dance floor and main stage, so it was fun to just hang out and observe everything going on.  Jessie Colter (who I had a scene with for Hot House the weekend prior, where we bonded over a bondage scene ) and Spencer Reed performed after us and we spent some time hanging out with them.  Jessie has a cool tradition of “marking” his fans by licking the side of their face and we had been trying to find a time and place to create a special marking for me since we bonded so much and agreed my mark needed to be something special.  You’ll see the pics of what we came up with below and I think they’re pretty awesome, art even.  The lighting, background mayhem, look on my face and where he is marking me made for what I think is a pretty spectacular capture.

Once Magnitude started wrapping up, Drake and I headed over to Aftershock to meet up with Tristan Jaxx and his bff, Merri.  That party wasn’t my favorite and was a bit too messy for my taste so we didn’t stay all that long but it’s always good to see Tristan.  That boys’ constant grin and goofy jokes and demeanor make everything more fun.

We slept in pretty late the next day and woke up just in time to put on outfit #3 of the weekend and head to the main event, the street festival.  I wore a latex jock, shoulder guard & gauntlets and knee-high leather boots.  The festival was as chaotic as ever.  We mostly just went around to all the porn booths and said hello to friends and fans and spent most of our time hanging out with Dominik Rider and Matt Cole at the Manhunt booth, where we ended up making quite an impromptu scene, as you’ll see in the pics below.  It’s things like that which make Folsom what it’s known for: random, casual pseudo-sex among friends in the middle of the street with dozens of fans and passers-by snapping pics and observing.

After the street festival, we enjoyed a nice Thai dinner (after changing, of course) with Tristan, Biff, Merri, Preston and Drake before taking a disco nap to ensure we were rested up for Real Bad (I wore a bulldog leather harness, leather gauntlets and Rufskin jeans), a rather underground event that isn’t easy to get tickets to.  Drake, Tristan, Merri and I had managed to secure tickets so we met up there and enjoyed a packed and hot, but fun, night of dancing and drinking until it closed at 4am.  The music was unique, but still good and uplifting, so it served as a nice close to our weekend.  Drake and I were not looking forward to checking out of our hotel at noon the next day so Tristan and Merri were nice enough to offer for us to crash at their place so we wouldn’t have to.  The next day (Monday) was a completely lazy, chill recovery day with the best pizza I’ve ever had, movies and tv.  We headed home that night, still slightly tired, but happy with how our weekend had unfolded.

I think we may have tried to pack a bit too much in this year but it helped me keep in mind what to do for next year so I’m sure it will just be that much better in 2012.  Hope you enjoy the pics and a big thank you to everyone who supplied them to me.  You know who you are.
